Michael has more than 30 years’ experience, obtaining registration in 1988 when he first established MCA. He operated this practice while he gained experience at several firms including the Australian Gold Medallist Daryl Jackson’s office. In 1990 he established McGann Carr Architect and continued his focus on commercial and retail projects. In 2006, Michael consolidated his practice as sole practitioner.

 

He is registered throughout Australia and in New Zealand and has been responsible for complex projects nationally and internationally for a variety of clients.

 

His experience spans across historically sensitive, large format retail, transport, and logistics and residential, and he maintains constant research for practical and cost-effective solutions for these projects. Michael has also worked closely with the Bunnings team and their consultants to develop the Bunnings construction brief, and to review the costs and standards of the warehouse on a regular basis to improve design, update standards and to reduce costs and complexities of the projects.

 

Michael lends his experience to all projects in the office. He maintains an open-door policy and all clients have direct access to contact him as required.
